[Project] National Space Society Space Settlement Contest

In my high school design career, this was the single most grand project I've ever been in. In December of 2019, right before Christmas, I was invited to a team of friends to work on this project. The goal was simple: we had to design a space settlement, capable of sustaining the human population for a significant period of time (the actual goal was way more complicated than this). So, during January and February of 2020, my days mostly consisted of writing for the content or designing its arrangements. Here, amongst the 122 pages that I've designed all by myself, I chose a few to demonstrate my contribution to the project.

Portrayed a rocket bursting off from the ground, with its flames erupting into balls of glowing fury. As you can see here, the project was named "Helios," inspired by the Greek God of Sun who had the same name.

Using the SketchUp tool, I designed buildings that would be used as Governmental Area. This is a building for the Legislative Branch.

I also created designs to better elaborate on the often complex machinery involved in our space settlement. Here, I depicted the Gyroscope, used to propel the rotation of the ship.

Another example of said "elaboration."

For the society in our space settlement to flourish, I created a unique writing system, inspired by Gallifreyan, called "Hlsnian." I'll talk more about it in a separate post. Here, branches of the government are represented in Hlsninan.

Here, departments of the Executive Branch, from the Department of Justice to the Department of Financial Affairs and Economy, are represented in Hlsninan.
